Andrew Luck was back in the fold this week, signing wide receiver Austin Johnson to a five-year contract, per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
The move comes after a lengthy injury history for the Colts, who have struggled to score touchdowns in recent seasons.
The 26-year-old Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 203-pound athlete with speed and route running skills.
He was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
The 6-1, 209-pound Johnson is entering his fourth season in the league and is averaging 10.5 yards per catch.
Johnson had six catches for 74 yards and a touchdown in a Week 13 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The 5-11, 176-pounder also had seven receptions for 68 yards and one touchdown in the Week 3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Colts had one of the league’s lowest points totals of the season in Week 16 at Oakland, going just 5 for 29 on third downs.
