A new study finds that mobile users are a big part of the web’s future, but they’re also a huge opportunity for designers.
According to research published by Web Design Academy, which is based at The University of Alabama, the web has never been more important.
“The internet is so pervasive and connected,” said Web Design Academics CEO, Dan Krieger.
“I think we’re in a period where we’re going to see a lot more sites come online on mobile platforms.
This is going to change the way people design for the web.
It’s been more than a decade since Web Design has been more relevant, Kriegers research shows.
The current trend is toward more mobile-friendly websites that are designed for mobile devices.
Krieger said mobile users have been an overlooked part of design for a while.”
He believes mobile users will continue to grow and change the design landscape. “
And that’s why mobile designers have been missing out on the web design scene.”

“We’re going into the mobile web design era.
I don’t think we’ve seen the end of it yet,” he said.
The research was conducted on behalf of Web Design Associates.
